Golden Paws and Blue Paws The BCE Cubs are recognized by their teachers for doing great things and following the Creek Credo. Here is what they had to say: "Shows the Bear Creek Credo in everything he does, and has shown so much growth already this year!" Shows up everyday with a positive attitude! He always works hard, participates in class, and is kind to others! This Cub is respectful to his teachers and to his classmates. He consistently works hard and quietly. This Cub is continually respectful in my classroom. He works hard & is a great example to other students. I love being his teacher! This Cub is always showing the Bear Creek Credo! He is ready to learn each and every day, sits and waits patiently for me to begin, and is working hard to excel in 3rd grade! So excited to teach him this year! This Cub shared her snack with a friend who said he was still hungry after his snack. "This Cub has been working hard on listening and following directions. Way to go Cub and I love you!" "This Cub has been working hard, showing respect, and kind to his friends. I am so proud of him!"

Magic Makers Each week, we recognize staff members who go above and beyond to make our school an amazing place for everyone. The dedication and hard work of our team are what make Bear Creek a place where students can thrive. This week's Magic Maker recipients are: Ms. Currier - Thank you for your tireless effort in teaching our kindergarteners essential routines and procedures. Your dedication ensures a smooth and productive learning environment from the very start of their school journey. Ms. Doolittle - We appreciate your hard work and commitment to our dismissal routine. Your careful attention to detail ensures every child gets home safely each afternoon. Officer Caldwell - Your positive spirit and creativity are truly magical! Thank you for adding the "Joke of the Day" and decorating your office with college flags. These personal touches help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our entire school community. We are so grateful for the hard work and passion our staff brings to Bear Creek every single day. Their efforts are a huge part of the magic that happens here.

A huge shout-out to our incredible PTA! 🎉 Our teachers are feeling the love after being treated to a delicious Costa Vida lunch, complete with cookies for dessert and a fridge full of refreshing drinks to kick off the new school year. A round of applause for all the cubs who completed Ms. Brosi's summer reading challenge! 🐾 We're so proud of you for earning your first blue paw. A special shout-out to Ms. Brosi, who has stocked the library with brand new books for all our young readers. Stop by and find your next adventure!

Happy First Day of School!

We are so thankful for our local community partners! This year, Chicken N Pickle chose Bear Creek to be the recipient of their school supply drive. We asked for snacks, notebooks, and pencil boxes, and we received a huge number of donations. Your generosity will make a big difference for our students!

Welcoming our newest families to the Creek! We had a wonderful time at our Pre-K camp, where our newest students got a sneak peek into their classrooms and became a little more comfortable with their new school environment. Our teachers were so excited to meet everyone and can't wait to start the school year! A huge thank you to our amazing PTA volunteers for helping to tell our school's story and for making the night so special. We couldn't have done it without you!

Join us for a special first day of school! On Wednesday, August 13, parents are invited to walk their children to class and then head to the school library for muffins. It's the perfect time to meet other parents, say hello to neighbors, and connect with friends. We can't wait to see you!

What a wonderful way to kick off the school year! Our kindergarten camp was a huge success. Thanks to our amazing staff and PTA for making it a welcoming experience for all our BCE families. We loved seeing our young cubs get to know their classrooms! Welcome class of 2038.

Mrs. Perry:
Hi all! I am excited to begin my 7th year at The Creek. This will be my 14th year of teaching. I love what I do, my “why” is always the kiddos, so I can’t imagine doing anything else
Ms. Currier:
Hey everyone! This will be my second year teaching at Bear Creek, and my seventh year in education. I am currently studying at SMU to become a principal. I am a Colorado native, but have been in Texas for four years and am finally adjusting to the heat!
Ms. Bradley:
Hello! This is my 30th year teaching at Bear Creek and my 32nd year in education!
I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade at BCE!!!
I am so excited to welcome a new group of Kinder kids and help them to have a great year!!

Meet the First Grade Team!
Ms. Brooks: I graduated from Texas Tech University. I have experience in Kindergarten and First grade. I love traveling, shopping, reading, spending time with friends and family, and playing with my dogs, Ivy and Lucy.
Mrs. Hall: Hey everyone! I taught 4th grade at Bear Creek last year and am so giddy to teach 1st grade this year!! I love being outside, watching tv, been getting into reading lately, and spending time with my sweet husband!! Excited for year 2 at the Creek!
Mrs. Wheeler: This will be my 9th year teaching at the Creek. I have taught Pre-K and First. My husband and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, and we have two dogs (Arya & Rayder) and a horse (Chanel). I love going on walks, traveling, horseback riding, attending sporting events, and watching movies.
Ms. Bizal: This is my second year at Bear Creek. I’ve taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade and I’m thrilled to be teaching 1st this year! Some of my favorite things are traveling, playing sports, spending time outdoors, reading, baking, going to the beach, and finding a good ice cream shop! I’m excited to see what this school year has in store for us!

The energy was magical as our educators gathered for the first day of the 2025-2026 school year. It was a day of joyful reunions, warm introductions, and lots of laughter as new teachers were welcomed into the fold. They collaborated on exciting plans for the year ahead and took time to have a little fun together, too. We are so incredibly happy to have our teachers back, their enthusiasm promising a magical year for our Cubs. 💛💙🐻

The halls of Bear Creek are buzzing with new faces! We had a wonderful week welcoming all our new teachers to campus for their orientation. From picking up classroom keys to selecting their NEU Colleges, they're already part of the Cub Family. We're thrilled to have so many passionate educators join us and are looking forward to a fantastic school year!

Summer is for recharging, but it's also for preparing! Our incredible grade level leaders gathered to build a strong team culture and learn about our plans for the year. The leaders at Bear Creek are committed to helping their fellow teachers and making this a fantastic year for our students and staff. We can't wait to see what they accomplish!

Ever wonder what our amazing teachers and staff are up to during the summer break? We're excited to give you a sneak peek into some of the preparations already underway for the upcoming school year!
The last week of June and first week of July, a dedicated group of our teachers had the privilege of attending the "Get Your Teach On" conference at the Gaylord in Grapevine, Texas. These educators, representing various departments and grade levels, participated in a week-long immersive experience. They delved deep into topics like small group instruction, academic standards, and best teaching practices, bringing back a wealth of new strategies and insights to enrich our classrooms.
We are incredibly proud of their dedication, hard work, and the time they committed to honing their craft. Their ongoing commitment to professional development directly benefits our students, and we can't wait to see the positive impact of their learning this year!
